Birch Box...

Purchasing high-in beauty products can be a beating! Let's be real here ladies, when you pay $20 for a tube of lipstick that joker better make you look 5 years younger, and last long enough so you can get your money's worth. And how do you even know that you like the specific brand of whatever you are buying unless you sample it somewhere or a friend recommends it to you?  This is a challenge for us who enjoy high-end products but don't want to plunge in and commit to buying a full size of any one bottle of perfume or eye cream until we know that we LOVE it.

Former Roomie was an assistant cosmetics buy for a luxury department store.  She would bring home all kinds of expensive lotions, mascaras, and beauty products for us to enjoy.  It was awesome to be able to try these products out and figure out which one's were worth my money and which one's i could go to ULTA for.  Now that I don't have those benefits any longer,  for Christmas Husband got me a great gift, and it's the kind that keeps on giving!

It's called BirchBox. And for just $10 a month you can receive a fabulous sampling of select high end products to fulfill those beauty cravings. And even better is that you can help customize the goodies that you receive every month by filling out a small questionnaire about your hair color, skin type, eye color and etc.

It makes me so happy to receive my package!
Another great benefit of Birchbox is that if you do indeed come across a product that you are sure you want to continue using, you can order it through Birchbox and get special deals on the items you love. Here's a box I received on my second month. Depending on the selection you receive anywhere from 4 to 8 different products.

Yum, this one even came with a healthy Lara Bar

Ladies, I would highly recommend this one if you love beauty product samples.  My subscription has unfortunately ended this month however I'm thinking of a trying out another subscription service, but with food.  If you are a foodie, like we consider ourselves to be then I would highly recommend checking out Foodzie.  It works the same way as BirchBox, but with artisan, and specialty foods.  Pretty cool.
